What you’ll do
• Assist with the circulation, shelving, cataloging, and enforcement of library policies in the library.
• Assist with the annual stocktake at the library.
–To accomplish routine shelf inspection, shelve things accurately according to Dewey decimal classification and/or alphabetically.
–Support the timely and accurate management of past-due payments utilizing the library’s software tools.
· Watch that the school’s timetable-required bell time is observed.
• Assist with book covers and repairs in accordance with library policy.
• Filling in for the librarian when they are ill or unavailable.

What we’re looking for
• A Tanzanian holder with a Diploma in Library Management from an accredited institution within East Africa.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Skilled person on library software such as Oliver, KOHA and LIM
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A creative individual, charming, and a lifelong learner willing to discover new ways of managing modern libraries.
