Tundu Antipas Lissu, the main opponent of the former President of Tanzania John Magufuli is returning to Tanzania today January 25, 2023.

These are the yielded results after the ongoing political reconciliation talks between CCM and Chadema founded by President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Chadema Chairman Freeman Mbowe.

Tundu Antipas Lissu, who had to go into exile for around 6 years as a result of the murder attempt, is now coming home.

Freeman Mbowe, the chairman of Chadema and the Jabali of Tanzanian politics, together with other party leaders and Chadema followers who are ready to stage a sizable demonstration to meet the well-known politician, will lead the reception.

The reception demonstration will go directly to Bulyaga Temeke Mwisho Stadium where a large Public Meeting has been organized to be addressed by Lissu starting at 8 pm.

Pastor Peter Msigwa, the chairman of the Lissu Home Coming Reception Committee, and Catherine Ruge, the committee secretary, told reporters yesterday that all of the necessary arrangements had been made and that Tanzanians could anticipate the largest reception ever to take place in their nation.

After President Samia Suluhu Hassan began to restore the country to the ideal political culture, Lissu is now going home, according to Msigwa, who said that the party prepared the reception as a result of the conditions that caused him to depart his country.
