JOB ADVERT – RADIOGRAPHER (01 VACANCY)
Position Description
The Bulyanhulu Team is seeking to recruit a Radiographer to join and grow their team. You will be expected to align to the Barrick DNA and to operate within our mining assets with our best people teams. You will contribute on a practical note to ensure activities in the Social and Environment Department are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance with BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures and ensure daily targets are met.

Responsibilities:
- The Occupational Health and Safety Act, 2003, Part VI Section 60, as well as company policies, standards, and procedures pertaining to health, safety, the environment, and community relations, must be followed when carrying out responsibilities.
- keep your license to practice radiography in Tanzania
- When environmental dangers are noticed, report them.
- As requested and instructed by the Clinic Doctor, provide x-ray support to emergency medical services for client personnel based in BGML.
- Participate as instructed by the senior BGML medical professionals and play a significant role in the emergency medical services group. Bulyanhulu/Barrick
- Support the delivery of general medical services to patients of the BGML clinic with x-rays.
- Execute x-ray procedures using the equipment given in accordance with the doctor’s instructions for both general medical examinations and occupational health programs.
- As instructed by the doctor, offer emergency supporting x-ray services.
- Prepare reports on x-ray activities on a regular basis, including the types and amount of x-rays taken, the chemicals or films used, any unusual x-rays taken or sent to other sites as needed, and any x-ray equipment maintenance or repair requirements.

- Keep data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Assure adherence to pertinent Tanzanian OHS laws and business rules of conduct.
- Engage in continual competency-based skill development.
- Maintain your professional growth in connection to the most recent knowledge and skills for international standard medical records.
- Be available to perform any shift as required by the roster.
- Keeps all customer and business-related information about BGML private.
- Additional comparable tasks as given by the manager.
Qualification requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in diagnostic radiography
- Fully qualified to practice as a Radiographer in country of appointment through the government approval process.
- Graduated from a recognized medical institution providing Academy-level or better X-ray training.

Experience and competencies needed:
- Radiographers must have at least 3+ years of experience working in a medical setting.
- Working at medical institutes previously would be advantageous.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Around 55 kilometers south of Lake Victoria and 150 kilometers southwest of the city of Mwanza, Bulyanhulu is located in northwestern Tanzania in the Kahama district of the Shinyanga region.
Bulyanhulu is a narrow-vein gold mine with sulphide-mineralized gold, silver, and copper mineralization. Several steeply dipping veins are linked to the mineralization in Bulyanhulu. The commercial manufacturing of Bulyanhulu started in 2001.
