Business Development Officer Broking at UAP Insurance/ Old Mutual Limited
This position is personally responsible for the broking unit and expanding the volume of profitable business from broking by offering custom services that go above and beyond their expectations in a way that guarantees reaching established business targets. (Business Development)
- To meet the desired number of new brokers to be hired
- Create and carry out a strong broker engagement strategy.
- Create comprehensive training and development programs that include products, processes, and procedures for all brokers.
- Daily management of the sales initiatives and coordination
- Prospect New business, terms submitted, and closing to reach objectives
- Work with the underwriting manager to guarantee that the brokerโs business is retained.
- Gather information necessary for the development of the broker channel by doing market research.
- Premium collections in accordance with the companyโs credit policy and the Cash & Carry law
- the maintenance of appropriate levels of business retention (i.e., the preservation of existing business), and the replacement of any existing business lost due to unavoidable circumstances by other suitable accounts (over and above the new business acquisition target for the year)
- Make certain that sales campaigns follow the companyโs strategies.
- Customer service satisfaction is closely monitored to make sure renewals are not in jeopardy. Renewal arrangements are negotiated well in advance, and clients receive official renewal confirmations prior to the renewal dates.
- keeps up with regular updates to the business status reports.
- regular reconciliations with finance and frequent trips to intermediaries to ensure that the relationship is solid
