The University of Cape Town (UCT) is a public research university located in Cape Town, South Africa. It is the oldest university in South Africa and one of the oldest in the southern hemisphere. UCT was founded in 1829 as the South African College and was later renamed the University of Cape Town in 1918.

UCT is ranked as the top university in Africa and among the top 300 universities in the world. It is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the University of the Western Cape.

National Research Foundation (NRF) Scholarships.

This funding opportunity is for people pursuing masterโ€™s and doctoral degrees. The NRF will cover two years of masterโ€™s study and three years of PhD study. (List of scholarships)

2. MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program.

3. History Access Scholarships.

The Department of Historical Studies is offering this scholarship. Students who are currently enrolled in masterโ€™s and honors programs are required. The scholarship only requires three masterโ€™s degree candidates and six honors degree candidates. (List of scholarships)

4. Refugee and International Scholarships

    Refugee and International Scholarships are given to refugee students pursuing postgraduate studies. The scholarship is limited in number. They usually offer it to one deserving student. 5. MMEG Scholarships By UCT.

Margaret McNamara Education Grant is abbreviated as MMEG. This award is only open to female students and is worth USD 7,000. 6. Jagger, JW Trust, and Centenary Scholarship Program.

8. Beit Trust Scholarship

Scholarship from the Beit Trust
Scholarships are awarded by the Trust through generous academic relationships with top institutions at British and South African universities, including the University of Cape Town. Beit Trust Scholarships are only available for postgraduate degrees; there are no scholarships available for Ph.D. research from the start. These scholarships are given out by several faculties at the University of Cape Town. The prizes are solely available to undergraduate students, and there is no application process.
