Duties & Responsibilities:
Technical Oversight
- Help the program manager examine and interpret the content of the girlsโ education program and the learning resources for professionals for Tanzania.
- aid the GEP technical department in creating the GEP blended model for use in the future.
- Help the program manager improve the educational resources for professionals and train the field program officers and social mobilizers on the contextualized program materials.
- Give technical direction to the Social Mobilizers (SMs) and Field Office GEP staff, including ongoing capacity building, on-site coaching, and technical support as needed to solve general program implementation quality issues. (Nafasi za kazi Room to Read )
- Participate in the creation of funding proposals for various GEP program components as needed.Planning, Observation and Assessment, Reporting, and Documentation
- Assist in the creation and improvement of the monitoring and evaluation methods and procedures used to evaluate progress toward the anticipated program outcomes by providing technical expertise to the country research, monitoring, and evaluation (RM&E) team.
- To ensure alignment with organizational strategy and priorities, take part in the preparation and assessment of yearly program goals and budgets.
- Assisted by the RM&E team Following up on GEP programs and gathering feedback and best practices, including regular field visits
- Participate in the GEP programโs annual Budget and Planning processes.

External Coordination, Advocacy and Networking
- aid in the creation and evaluation of government engagement initiatives that will lead to the integration of Room to Read frameworks into the governmentโs operating system.

Qualifications:
Required
- college degree in a relevant discipline (Sociology, education, gender, social work, community development).
- with three to five years of relevant job experience.
- prior contextualization expertise (adaptation, translations, design, and training facilitation).

- Having good people skills and being a team player.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including the capacity to track program implementation success.
- ability to take initiative and manage numerous priorities at once.
- Prior success establishing close bonds and working closely with a variety of people, including Tanzaniaโs government agencies
- willingness and capacity to go and assist the Girls Education Program directly for at least a quarter of the period (Coaching and monitoring)
- strong computer skills, including knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- fluency in the language spoken there.
- fluency in English.
