NEW VACANCY
Save the Children Tanzania is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Child Protection Officer. The Child Protection Officer will be responsible for the implementation and management of child protection programs and projects in their assigned area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing child protection programs in line with Save the Children Tanzania’s strategies and policies
- Identifying and assessing child protection risks and vulnerabilities in the community
- Building the capacity of community-based organizations and government partners to address child protection issues
- Providing technical support and guidance to field staff on child protection issues
- Monitoring and evaluating child protection programs and providing regular progress reports
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in social work, child development, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working in child protection programs
- Strong experience in program management, monitoring, and evaluation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the local language and culture
