REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must demonstrate competence in the essential duties of the position; having a command of at least two official languages, one of which must be English; be a citizen of South Africa; must not be currently involved in any criminal matters or have any prior criminal convictions; Candidates will go through a screening procedure that includes a security check and fingerprint verification; possess a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) listed at NQF level 4 on the National Learner Record Database; must be without a criminal history or active departmental or criminal cases; Degree/
A degree in the post’s field would be advantageous; A benefit will include having relevant coursework in the field of the position and having a current driver’s license for at least a light motor vehicle; Be prepared to work long hours and under pressure.
DUTIES:
Provide administrative support services and handle logistical issues. Ensure the upkeep of leave logs, registrations, and files. All incoming calls to the Section office should be answered and screened. Write reports, letters, minutes, agendas, handle confidential papers, keep minutes on file, and keep track of the flow of paperwork to the section head’s office. Communicate with other sections and components about issues involving the Section Head. welcome and host guests in the workplace. providing visitors with refreshments during sessions. Set up and reserve meeting locations in accordance with the anticipated attendance. Keep meticulous records, organize them properly, and implement a system. Utilize common equipment (fax, photocopy machine, telephone, computers, etc.)

All candidates who have been shortlisted will have their fingerprints taken and their references checked.
