Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Sustainable Agriculture Extension Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to smallholder farmers on sustainable agricultural practices, including conservation agriculture, agroforestry, and integrated pest management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide training and extension services to smallholder farmers on sustainable agricultural practices
• Work with farmers to identify their specific needs and provide tailored advice and support
• Assist farmers in the adoption of new technologies and practices that promote sustainable land use
• Develop and implement sustainable agriculture extension programs
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of extension activities on farmers’ livelihoods and crop yields
• Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to promote sustainable agriculture in the region

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural extension or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English and Swahili
