The Pharmacy Council of Tanzania is the regulatory body responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of medicines, drugs, and medical devices in Tanzania. It sets standards for and regulates the practice of pharmacy, protecting the public from any potential harm and ensuring that only qualified pharmacists are allowed to dispense, supply, and produce drugs and other medical products. The Council also monitors the importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, and sale of drugs, as well as licenses and registers pharmacies and pharmacist premises.

The Pharmacy Council of Tanzania is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Executive Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization in achieving its strategic objectives, overseeing the development of policies and regulations to protect public health, and advocating for the advancement of pharmacy practice in the country. The ideal candidate should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, excellent organizational and communication skills, and an in-depth knowledge of Tanzania’s pharmacy laws and regulations.
