The Pharmacy Council of Tanzania is committed to protecting the public from ill-effects resulting from poor quality and unsafe drugs and medical products. To ensure this, the Council sets standards for pharmacies, pharmacists, and other medical practitioners, and oversees the importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, and sale of drugs. The Council also registers, licenses, and monitors all pharmacies and pharmacist premises, and only allows qualified pharmacists to supply, dispense, and produce drugs and other medical products.

The Pharmacy Council of Tanzania is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Executive Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization in achieving its strategic objectives, overseeing the development of policies and regulations to protect public health, and advocating for the advancement of pharmacy practice in the country. The ideal candidate should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, excellent organizational and communication skills, and an in-depth knowledge of Tanzania’s pharmacy laws and regulations.
