Job Purpose
to support Nedbank Group strategy by providing data analysis, research, and support services to aid in the application of the business investment philosophy. (NEDBANK DURBAN)
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine requirements, then offer remedies interacting with clients both inside and outside the company.
- Support Banker and Structured Lending by providing the following:
- Reviews of large exposure.
- Creating credit documents
- letter writing a facility.
- creating the pricing template’s input and motivation.
- The main point of contact or coordinator for the client, the client’s offices, sales, cross-selling, and the location of the transaction during the process.
- taking directions from customers and sales, rerouting them as necessary, and monitoring the results.
- Reconciliations of payments made in a development or building plan, if necessary.
- Analysis of the income statement and balance sheet with regard to credit.
- managing facilities that are about to expire.
- Arrears management in collaboration with the banker and lender.
- Management of impairments in collaboration with the Credit Risk Officer and Consultants.
- Reviews of transactions and overdrafts.
- assurances and releases.
- taking care of development payouts and construction pulls.
- acquisition planning for new customers and more accounts.
- checking in on the status of bonds with credit, legal, drafting, and attorneys.
- Make sure the transaction is moving along in the pipeline and keep an eye on it (manage the pipeline)
- Manage the client reviews, including initial planning, appointment setting, and post-review capturing. (NEDBANK DURBAN)
- Maintain accounts that are dormant and inactive.
- preparing the High-Risk and EDD/FICA templates.
- Organize sales teams and monitor contacts created and cross-selling development.
- Search for Deeds and CIPC.
- Verify systems’ compliance with all FICA and other paperwork requirements (e.g., ROA, Mandates etc.)
- composing a concluding letter for each client’s approval.
- After necessary client confirmation, change/update client information across all platforms.
- Recognize chances for cross-selling and upselling.
- Manage the workflow to CSC by keeping track of completion and resolution.
- Card issues include card migrations, credit card limit adjustments, closures, and the loading of APOs (card)
- Pricing for Transactional Accounts (current account, automobiles, etc.)
- activations and terminations of overdraft limits.
- document management for security and collateral as well as cession cancellations.
- Mortgage loan issues writing of mortgages Reorganize contracts. Re-advance your expenses. Building loan payments are progressing. Requests to terminate home loans. - Downloading and updating a power of attorney.
- opening and closing accounts for treasury investments
- Notice deposits, fixed deposits, and reinvestments can be opened and closed.
- withdrawals with notice/early release of investments
- Fraud detection and prevention.

- Foreign national SARB registration via non-resident/embassy banking.
- Foreign nationals’ accounts are converted to non-resident upon return.
- submitting and ensuring that all supporting documents are uploaded to the system for credit applications (EAS and linked to CAN application cases).
- Deals should be completed up until the point at which the attorney is instructed (CAN applications).
- directing the process of onboarding and offboarding (end to end – client and product).
Essential Qualification
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree (Investment Management / Financial Planning)
Minimum Experience Level
- graduates with a bachelor’s degree in financial planning, investment management, or a related NQF 7 commercial degree
- 0 -1 year experience from the financial or banking industry.
- 65% or higher will be taken into consideration (NB: academic transcripts will be requested)
