Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Tanzania is currently seeking to fill the following vacancy:

Position: Medical Coordinator

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the medical activities of MSF’s projects in Tanzania
• Ensure that the medical activities are in line with MSF’s protocols and guidelines
• Coordinate the work of the medical team, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure that the medical team is properly trained and equipped
• Monitor the quality of care provided by the medical team
• Represent MSF in meetings with the Tanzanian government, local organizations, and other partners
• Ensure that the medical activities are in line with MSF’s principles of impartiality, neutrality, and independence

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
• At least 5 years of experience working in a medical coordination role
• Experience working in low-resource settings
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment
