Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Tanzania is currently seeking to fill the following vacancy:
Position: Medical Coordinator
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the medical activities of MSF’s projects in Tanzania
- Ensure that the medical activities are in line with MSF’s protocols and guidelines
- Coordinate the work of the medical team, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure that the medical team is properly trained and equipped
- Monitor the quality of care provided by the medical team
- Represent MSF in meetings with the Tanzanian government, local organizations, and other partners
- Ensure that the medical activities are in line with MSF’s principles of impartiality, neutrality, and independence
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of experience working in a medical coordination role
- Experience working in low-resource settings
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment
