Job Title: Project Manager – Water and Sanitation

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Position Summary:

Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of a USAID-funded Water Sector Development Program in Tanzania. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the overall project budget, developing and implementing work plans, and ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the implementation of the Water Sector Development Program, including the provision of training and capacity building to local water utilities and technical assistance to improve water supply systems and sanitation facilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local partners, including government agencies and civil society organizations
Manage the project budget and ensure that all financial reporting requirements are met
Monitor project progress and identify any issues that may impact the project’s success
Prepare reports and presentations for the donor and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, water resources management, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the water and sanitation sector
Strong organizational and communication skills
Fluency in English and Swahili
Experience working on USAID-funded projects is a plus
