The UONGOZI Institute is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced candidate to fill the role of Director of Leadership Development. This is a key leadership position within the Institute, responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and evaluation of all leadership development programs.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Leading the development and implementation of a strategic vision for the Institute’s leadership development programs, in line with the Institute’s mission and goals.
Managing a team of program design and delivery staff, ensuring that all programs are of the highest quality and meet the needs of participants.
Developing and maintaining partnerships with external organizations, including governments, businesses, and civil society groups, to support the delivery of leadership development programs.
Conducting research and policy analysis on issues related to leadership and sustainable development in Africa, and using this research to inform the design and delivery of the Institute’s programs.
Overseeing the budget and financial management of the leadership development programs, including the development of funding proposals and the management of resources.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as leadership, management, or education.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership development, with a strong track record of designing and delivering high-quality programs.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Fluency in English, with knowledge of French or Portuguese a plus.
